Illustration assignment; final from a children's book course I took last semester.

We roughed up an entire 32-page children's book in a matter of two weeks (which is way harder than it sounds!) and then brought a few of the spreads to final--this was one that I picked. My book was based on a Russian gypsy fairy tale about warring tribes, a night bird of death, and crippling vengenance.

This is absolutely gorgeous! The atmospheric perspective you created with the snow makes the image seem quite 3D. The way the snow drifts are blowing almost like waves is an interesting contrast to the rigid tree trunks and text. Love it!
